Q. Why do I have to mix the product?

A. Good question. When Mange Avenge’s concentrated solution and packet of powdered ingredients are mixed into the right amount of water, its 16 active ingredients react together to make a powerful all natural treatment that assaults mange mites and helps your pet heal quickly. This activation is what makes Mange Avenge work so well. Tests show that if we mix it early it is far less effective. Bear in mind that both the concentrated solution and the powdered ingredients have already been formulated in the right proportions so all you need to do is mix the pre-measured concentrate and activator powder with water, shake and apply. We even give you the mixing bottle/applicator and a special exfoliating mitt.

Q. Is your product guaranteed?

A. You bet. Just try Mange Avenge for at least two weeks, using as directed. If you’re having problems, call us. We’ll work with you to try to help work through any problems you may be experiencing. If you aren’t satisfied, we’ll refund your purchase price.

Q. Won’t the oils hurt my dog’s skin?

A. We are all about making happy dogs, not unhappy ones. We only use therapeutic grade or higher ingredients that are safe on dogs and have a specific purpose.

Q. Aren’t all natural mange products variations of the same thing?

A. The mange products we have tested vary wildly. Some are based on oils that can be found in the varnish aisle at the hardware store, but it’s still a natural ingredient. Many natural products use sulphur too. We’ve even seen some that use ingredients that are known to be harmful to dogs. Happy Dog Naturals’ Mange Avenge treatment is the most comprehensive natural mange treatment available. Our wholistic approach covers all the bases. No other treatment does as much.

Q. Why don’t you use Tea Tree oil? It’s one of the best natural oils for skin.

A. Tea Tree oil is great stuff. It has so many benefits that we’d love to use it but it is toxic to cats and occasionally to small dogs. We use an exclusive blend of four very beneficial oils that when combined, pack double the healing punch of Tea Tree oil. It’s not as cheap but it’s safer and more effective.

Q. Why another treatment in addition to a bath? Couldn’t you make a shampoo or spray?

A. Happy Dog Naturals’ Mange Avenge treatment uses an oxygenated delivery system to penetrate deep down into the tunnels where the mites burrow and cause their misery. Shampoos and sprays just can’t do that. Plus, it’s kind of a shame to rinse all those healing oils, anti-inflammatories and natural antiseptics down the drain or just spray them on your dog’s hair.

Q. Do I need to use a cream or antibiotic lotion afterward?

A. No. Your dog might like the taste or it might make you feel better but putting anything else on your pet might do more harm than good. Additional shampooing or use of other topical treatments removes the Mange Avenge treatment. It is important that the dried solution remain on your dog’s skin until the next treatment to help your pet heal. This one easy-to-use product is a complete wholistic system that does all this:
• Powerful natural miticides eradicate microscopic tunneling and burrowing mange mites

Q. How long does it take for this to work?

A. Mange Avenge starts working the minute it hits your pet’s skin. Our system is designed to eliminate mites quickly and help healing begin right away. In many cases improvement is noticeable in a few days and signs of healing are obvious within a week. (The results were drastic with our dog. She stopped the insane digging within a day) Every situation is different because of the severity of the infestation, but many customers tell us they are pleasantly surprised how quickly they got their Happy Dog back!

Q. Why did my dog get the mange? I thought only neglected animals got it.

A. The notion of a bedraggled mangy mutt is a common misconception. Any dog can get mange, even pampered well-kept pets. A few mange mites are usually present on every dog but it’s immune system keeps them under control. If something compromises their immune system the mites can take over and turn into a dangerous infestation. Mange is caused by an easily transferred microscopic mite. It has nothing to do with cleanliness or care. I think there are still some mangy mutts around but that’s just because they don’t have owners that treat them with Mange Avenge!

Q. Are your products FDA approved?

A. Mange Avenge uses only high quality, safe natural ingredients that do not require regulation under Federal rulings. There are companies who use vague, somewhat skewed wording about FDA approval to fear-monger and cast aspersions about their competitors. We urge you to be well informed but also caution you to consider the ethics of companies that need to take swipes or discredit their competition.

Q. What are the types of mange?

A. Mange is classified as any of several chronic skin diseases of mammals caused by parasitic mites and characterized by skin lesions, itching, and loss of hair. There are three common types of mange that affect pets, all of which can make them miserable. These are Demodectic mange, Sarcptocic mange or Notoedric mange:

Demodectic mange, also called demodicosis or Red Mange, is caused by the parasitic mite Demodex canis. Demodex mange mites live in the hair follicles of your pet where they multiply causing inflammation and hair loss. The primary complaint is hair loss but the inflammation may cause discomfort or secondary skin problems. Demodectic mange can be localized or generalized. Localized infestation is defined as 4 spots or less. It is not contagious to humans.

Sarcoptic mange is also known as canine scabies. Sarcoptic mange is a highly contagious infestation of Sarcoptes scabiei canis, a burrowing mite. These microscopic pests burrow into your dog’s skin and secrete substances (allergens) that cause allergic reactions and intense itching and irritation The canine Sarcoptic mite can also infest humans (scabies), cats, pigs, horses, sheep and various other species. It spreads through direct contact and can infect an entire household. They dig into and through the skin, causing hair loss, intense itching and crusting that can quickly become infected. Skin damage can occur from the dog’s intense clawing, scratching and biting as it instinctively tries to dig out the mites. Secondary skin infection is also common.

Notoedric mange, sometimes called cat mange or feline scabies is caused by a mite called Notoedres cati, which causes significant discomfort to the cat. Notoedres mites are closely related to Sarcoptic mange mites of dogs and thus the two infections have some similarity as do their life cycles and treatment. Both conditions typically begin with itchy crusts and scales an the ear margins, then progressing to involve the face and ultimately, if ignored, it will cover the cat’s entire body. As with other mites in the Sarcoptes family, Notoedres is contagious and can infect humans, other pets and animals. Notoedric mange causes sores, lesions, and/or hair loss to your cat.

Q. Do I need a prescription to order Mange Avenge?

A. Anyone can order Mange Avenge without a prescription. Mange Avenge it the most effective home treatment you can buy. From our personal experience and reports from many customers, it is more effective and much gentler than the standard veterinary practice of putting poison into and/or onto your pet. Mange Avenge is not intended to replace veterinary care. You should always consult with your vet if your pet is ill.

Q. Why isn’t your product available in stores?

A. We’ve tried to make Mange Avenge available to as many pet owners as possible but selling online is the best way for us. We love helping people and being directly involved with our customers. We would not be Happy Dogs ourselves if we were pressured to water down the product or use lower quality ingredients to increase profit margins for all the other layers involved if we sold any other way. Plus, for obvious reasons, our products are not something veterinarians or distributors that carry veterinary lines want to carry.

Q. My pet is really miserable. How long will it take to arrive?

A. We are small enough to react quickly We ship every order within one business day. Standard shipping is Priority Mail which typically takes 2-3 business days. You can also opt for emergency overnight shipping.

Q. My dog seemed to get better but the mange came back.

A. If your pet got better, that is a sign the product was working. In situations where there is recurrence, one of three things has happened.
1.) Some owners don’t follow the product instructions or treatment schedule as directed. If the product is not applied as directed, treatment is discontinued when improvement is seen or the prescribed treatment schedule is interrupted, the mite’s reproductive cycle isn’t broken and colonies can become re-established.
2.) There is a chance that you have a hive nearby, or your pet is visiting another place or animal where there are mange mites and becoming reinfested.
3.) Your pet didn’t have mange. There may have been improvement because of Mange Avenge’s many healing properties but the root problem flared up after treatment stopped.

Q. I understand there is hydrogen peroxide in your product. That sounds scary.

A. Hydrogen peroxide is one of nature’s finest gifts and healing agents. It has been used for centuries in first aid. Hydrogen peroxide is just water with an extra oxygen molecule. It is found in rain and snow; the renown healing water at Lourdes; in fresh fruit and vegetables; and in colostrum, the first milk that a mother produces, where it provides a defense against infection until the baby’s own immune system develops and is able to produce its own hydrogen peroxide. Bodies produce hydrogen peroxide as part of their immune defense to destroy invading bacteria, viruses and fungi. One of it’s important benefits is that it creates a high level of oxygenation which makes it an important part of Mange Avenge’s special delivery system. You are applying a very mild 1% solution of peroxide that gently helps effervesce the ingredients deep down into the tunnels and burrows beneath the surface of your pet’s skin. It also cleans and helps prevent infection. It’s a terrific secret that helps make your dog a Happy Dog!

Q. Does Mange Avenge work on all types of mange mites.

A. Yes. Mange Avenge was originally designed to cure Sarcoptic mange or scabies but it is effective for Demodectic mange mites too. Mange Avenge the only product that has a broad enough spectrum of powerful natural ingredients to effectively treat all types of mange.

Q. Is there anything else I can do to help my dog?

A. Anything that will bolster your pet’s immune system will aid recovery. You can’t go wrong by indulging your pet with a nutrient-rich diet, stress free environment and extra love. We do no recommend supplementing treatment with other topical products because they may remove or contradict the healing ingredients that need to stay on your dogs skin.

Q. I heard that Neem oil works too. Isn’t that enough?

A. Neem oil is a good insecticide but we don’t think it’s worth relying on one ingredient. Mange Avenge uses the most aggressive natural formula possible. Our proprietary blend attacks parasites and helps your pet heal in a way that no singe ingredient or other formula can.

Q. How much do I need?

A. The best schedule for eradicating mange is to apply it every few days over a period of two weeks. You can apply it more frequently the first week or so if you feel the infestation is severe or want to apply additional healing ingredients make your pet more comfortable. The starter kit contains enough for four treatments. The concentrate makes 24 ounces, enough to treat most dogs. If your pet is very large or you desire additional treatments, individual bottles are also available.

Q. If it’s so effective, why do I need to do it for four weeks?

A. Sarcoptes mites spend their life on or in the skin. Females burrow into the upper layer of skin and begin forming a honey-comb of tunnels. As she tunnels along filling the tunnels with eggs that hatch into larvae, become nymphs then eventually become adults that mate and start the life-cycle over. Four treatments is the best way to break this reproductive cycle so the infestation is eradicated. Don’t be tempted to discontinue the treatments because your pet will feels and looks much better before the full treatment schedule is finished. To avoid reoccurrence, four treatments over a period of 14 days are important.
